Boise State vs Nebraska (1:30 PM ET, FOX – T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV)

Game Preview: This semifinal of the new College Basketball Crown (CBC) postseason tournament features two teams eager to prove themselves after missing out on March Madness. Boise State (24–10) was one of the highest-rated teams left out of the NCAA field and has been playing like it – the Broncos have scored 89 and 100 points in their first two CBC games. Nebraska (17–14) had a middling season in the Big Ten but is finding form in Vegas with back-to-back upsets, including an 81–69 win over Georgetown to reach the semis. Boise State’s uptempo offense meets Nebraska’s gritty style in what should be an exciting clash on a neutral court.

Betting Odds:

  • Spread: Boise State -2.5 (Broncos favored by a bucket)

  • Moneyline: Boise State ~-140 / Nebraska ~+120

  • Total: 154.5 (expected high-scoring affair)

Analysis: Oddsmakers make Boise State a slight favorite, reflecting their stronger season and explosive offense. The Broncos are averaging 94.5 points in this tournament, powered by an experienced roster that can light it up from deep. Nebraska’s defense has been respectable (holding Georgetown under 70) but will be tested by Boise’s quick pace and efficient shooting. Nebraska’s offense has picked up lately (scoring 86 and 81 in Vegas), thanks in part to improved 3-point shooting. The over/under of 154.5 indicates a fast pace – both teams have cleared that number in recent games. One concern for over bettors is fatigue in a third game this week, but playing in Las Vegas (no altitude) and with a championship berth on the line, the energy should be high. If the Cornhuskers can slow it down and feed their frontcourt, they’ll try to turn this into a half-court game. However, Boise’s guards push the tempo at every chance, and Nebraska under coach Fred Hoiberg isn’t shy about running either. In a shootout, Boise’s superior offensive efficiency and tournament experience (this deep run validating their season) give them the edge to cover a short spread.

Best Bet: Over 154.5 points – The trend is your friend here. Boise State and Nebraska have both been involved in high-scoring contests throughout this tournament. Boise’s last game hit 193 points and Nebraska has cracked 160+ in one of their wins. Neither side has an elite lockdown defense, and both can get hot from three. Even with a modest shooting night, the pace should carry this to an over. (If you prefer a side, our Boise State vs Nebraska prediction leans Broncos -2.5 to win by about 5 in a close-but-free-flowing game.)

Props to Watch:

  • Team Total – Boise State Over: Boise is averaging nearly 90+ in the CBC. If their team total is around 78-80, consider the over given their offensive form.

  • Player Threes – Nebraska: Look for Nebraska’s sharpshooters on the perimeter. If a prop for made threes on Nebraska’s top shooter (e.g. over 2.5 threes) is available, the over is worth a look – the Huskers will likely need to bomb away from deep to keep up.

UCF vs Villanova (4:00 PM ET, FOX – T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV)

Game Preview: The second CBC semifinal pits the UCF Knights against the Villanova Wildcats in Las Vegas. Villanova (19–14) is a prominent name playing for pride after a down year, while UCF (17–16) is a Big 12 newcomer looking to make a statement. Villanova’s path here showcased two styles: they blew out Colorado 85–64 in the first round before grinding past USC 60–59 in a defensive slugfest. UCF, on the other hand, has leaned on offense – surviving Oregon State 76–75 and then putting up 88 points to beat Cincinnati. This game is a classic tempo clash: Villanova prefers a slower half-court game, while UCF thrives in transition.

Betting Odds:

  • Spread: Villanova -3.5 (slight favorite as the more accomplished program)

  • Moneyline: Villanova ~-160 / UCF ~+140

  • Total: 156.5 (reflecting UCF’s faster pace)

Analysis: At first glance, a total in the mid-150s feels high for a Villanova game – especially after a 60-59 defensive battle last round. That suggests oddsmakers think UCF will successfully speed this game up. UCF’s offense is averaging ~82 ppg in the tournament, led by a dynamic backcourt that pushes the ball off misses. Villanova will try to impose their will with disciplined defense and efficient execution. Keep an eye on Villanova’s 3-point shooting: they hit a barrage of threes against Colorado but went cold vs USC’s defense (scoring just 60). UCF’s defense isn’t as stout as USC’s, which could allow Nova’s shooters to find a rhythm. Still, our UCF vs Villanova prediction expects a tighter game than Nova’s -3.5 spread implies – UCF has shown resilience and the ability to score in bunches, which keeps them in any game. Villanova’s experience and coaching give them the edge late, but if they can’t slow the tempo, this could be a one-possession contest.

Best Bet: Under 156.5 points – Contrasting styles often result in something closer to the slower team’s pace, especially in a knockout scenario. Villanova knows its best chance is to control tempo, value each possession, and prevent a track meet. They just held a high-scoring USC squad to 59 points, and while UCF will push the issue, Nova’s veteran players will aim to execute deliberate offense to keep the game in the 70s. This total is inflated by UCF’s last outing, but Villanova will adjust defensively. Look for a final total a bit lower (something like 75-72 range, ~147 total). Bonus:Taking UCF +3.5 is tempting as well, as this feels like a down-to-the-wire game where the underdog could even win outright if they knock down shots.

Props to Watch:

  • Villanova Player Points – Under: Nova’s leading scorer will likely have a prop around 18-20 points. Consider the under if you expect a balanced attack and UCF throwing extra defenders at him. In a slower-paced game, no single Wildcat may explode for huge numbers.

  • UCF Team Threes – Over: The Knights love the three-ball in transition. A prop on UCF total 3-pointers made (if around 8.5 or 9) could go over if they speed the game up. Even if the game goes under the total, UCF can still hit a bunch of treys trying to break Villanova’s defense.

Florida vs Auburn (6:09 PM ET, CBS – Alamodome, San Antonio, TX)

Game Preview: It’s an all-SEC showdown in the Final Four as the Florida Gators take on the Auburn Tigers with a trip to the national championship at stake. Florida and Auburn know each other well from conference play, but meeting on this stage is a whole new ballgame. Florida comes in red-hot – the Gators have ridden a high-powered offense through the regionals and are in their first Final Four since 2014. Auburn, making its first Final Four appearance since 2019, has used a mix of relentless defense and timely three-point shooting to get here. Both teams have certainly earned it: Florida likely knocked off a top seed in the Elite Eight (their offense put up big numbers throughout March Madness), while Auburn survived a brutal region with some upset wins. Expect a fast pace, highlight-reel plays, and plenty of points in this matchup between familiar foes.

Betting Odds:

  • Spread: Florida -2.5 (the Gators are slight favorites in this pick’em style game)

  • Moneyline: Florida ~-145 / Auburn ~+125

  • Total: 159.5 (highest of the day – odds expect a shootout)

Analysis: The oddsmakers anticipate fireworks, and for good reason. Florida vs Auburn features two up-tempo, offense-first teams that each average around the mid-80s per game. Florida’s resurgence under coach Todd Golden has been fueled by efficient three-point shooting and a versatile lineup that can score inside and out. Auburn, under Bruce Pearl, plays at a frenetic pace and thrives on turnovers and transition buckets. These teams likely split their regular-season meetings (each protecting home court), so there’s no intimidation factor either way. Florida’s offense has been especially impressive in the Tournament – in our Florida vs Auburn prediction, we see the Gators continuing to push the tempo. Auburn’s defense can be feast-or-famine: they’ll create steals and run, but they also foul and give up open looks. The key matchup might be Florida’s ball-handling against Auburn’s pressure – if Florida limits turnovers, their superior half-court offense should shine. On the flip side, Auburn will look to bombard Florida from the three-point line (a strategy that carried them to the Final Four back in 2019). In the Alamodome environment, shooting sightlines can be tricky, but both squads already got a feel for it in practice. This one could swing on a late run or clutch free throws. The small spread indicates a potentially classic finish.

Best Bet: Florida -2.5 – In a contest this tight, we like the slight favorite to pull through. Florida’s balance on offense gives them a small but crucial edge. The Gators can score in more ways and have a bit more consistency in the half-court set. Auburn might actually lead at times (don’t be shocked if the Tigers come out blazing and take an early lead), but Florida’s composure and execution should win out in the final minutes. Laying 2.5 points, we’re essentially betting on Florida to win by one possession plus a free throw or two. In a game likely to see multiple lead changes, trust the team with the more efficient offense and better foul shooters down the stretch. Our pick: Florida to cover and advance (think along the lines of an 84-79 type win).

Props to Watch:

  • Star Scorers Over: With a total near 160, there will be plenty of points to go around. Look at over on points propsfor the star players on each side. For example, if Florida’s leading guard has a line of ~17.5 points, the over is attractive given the tempo and Auburn’s propensity to allow big games (while trying to outscore you). Likewise, Auburn’s top scorer might be around 16.5 – he’ll likely need to hit 20+ for Auburn to win, so the over is in play.

  • 3-Point Props: Both teams shoot a lot of threes. A fun prop might be total 3-pointers made in the game. If the line is somewhere around 15.5 combined threes, the over could hit in a hurry with the pace and space these offenses have. Auburn especially lives and dies by the three; their top shooters launching 8+ attempts each wouldn’t be surprising.

  • Alternate Total – Over 1H: Sometimes big games start with jitters, but these teams are more likely to start fast. An alternate bet on 1st Half Over (~75 points) is worth consideration. They won’t want to slow down, and neither coach is known for a conservative approach.

Houston vs Duke (8:49 PM ET, CBS – Alamodome, San Antonio, TX)

Game Preview: In the second men’s Final Four matchup, the defensive-minded Houston Cougars face off against the blue-blood Duke Blue Devils. This is a fascinating contrast in styles and pedigree. Houston, under Kelvin Sampson, has become a perennial powerhouse known for suffocating defense and physical play – they last made the Final Four in 2021 and are hungry to take the next step. Duke, in its first Final Four of the post-Coach K era, brings a roster loaded with NBA talent under second-year head coach Jon Scheyer. The Blue Devils cruised through their region behind a balanced offense and improved defense, and now look to return to the title game for the first time since 2015. Expect a much slower tempothan the earlier game; every possession will be a chess match. Houston will try to muck this game up with tough half-court defense and offensive rebounding, while Duke will aim to leverage its size and skill to find quality shots against the vaunted Cougar defense.

Betting Odds:

  • Spread: Duke -5.5 (the Blue Devils are favored by a two-possession margin)

  • Moneyline: Duke ~-220 / Houston ~+180

  • Total: 136.5 (the lowest of Saturday’s games – a grind is anticipated)

Analysis: This Houston vs Duke showdown is expected to be a slugfest. The total of 136.5 reflects two elite defenses: Houston allows barely 60 points per game on average, and Duke has quietly become a top defensive unit in the tournament as well. The spread favoring Duke by 5.5 suggests that oddsmakers believe Duke’s offensive talent will overcome Houston’s defensive tenacity to a degree. One factor is Duke’s advantage in height and length – the Blue Devils can match Houston on the boards, which is usually where Houston punishes opponents (the Cougars are one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the nation every year). If Duke can limit second-chance points and force Houston’s somewhat streaky shooters to score in the half-court, the Devils can gradually pull ahead. However, Houston absolutely thrives in the underdog role and will relish the physical battle. Watch for the guard matchup: Houston’s veteran backcourt will try to disrupt Duke’s freshman phenoms and force turnovers, turning defense into rare transition points. On the other end, Duke’s half-court offense will go through their star forward and big men – if they can get Houston in foul trouble or solve the Cougars’ relentless help defense, Duke will cover. But if this game stays in the half-court trenches, a 5.5-point spread is significant. Our expectation is a tight contest; Houston’s experience and toughness should keep it close. It might come down to late free throws or one big shot. In our prediction, Duke finds a way to win, but Houston makes them earn every basket.

Best Bet: Under 136.5 points – This is the inverse of the Florida-Auburn game. Here we have two teams that pride themselves on making opponents uncomfortable offensively. Houston will look to drain the shot clock and prevent Duke’s transition game entirely. Duke, for its part, can also play methodically if needed, especially after seeing Houston’s tendency to thrive in chaos. Final Four games in cavernous stadiums often see shooting percentages dip, and with the defensive pressure these squads bring, points will be at a premium. A final score in the mid-60s for each team would not surprise us (think something like 68-63). Even if one team pushes into the low 70s, the other may be held in the 60 range. We see this staying under the total. Additionally, Houston +5.5 is a strong lean – in a low-scoring duel, taking the points is usually wise. Duke’s likely win could easily be by 2–4 points. But the safer play is the total: defense rules the day in this Final Four nightcap.

Props to Watch:

  • Rebound Battle: With so many missed shots expected, consider over on rebound props. Houston’s leading rebounder could have a big night on the glass (if his line is around 8.5 rebounds, the over is attractive). Likewise, Duke’s big man might pile up boards to secure one-and-done possessions; an over 9.5 or 10 rebound prop for Duke’s center is in play.

  • Star Scorer Under: Duke’s top scorer (likely a future NBA lottery pick forward) might have a points prop in the high teens. Take the under. Houston’s defense will key on him with constant pressure and double teams, forcing Duke’s secondary players to beat them. It wouldn’t be shocking if no player in this game exceeds 15–18 points.

  • Alternate Spread – Houston: If you’re bullish on Houston’s fight, you could sprinkle on an alternate spread of Houston +3 or +4 for better odds, or even the moneyline at +180. This team has the defensive chops to win outright. Duke has more talent on paper, but Houston’s cohesion and experience could turn this into a nail-biter that comes down to the last possession.

Troy vs Buffalo (5:00 PM ET, CBSSN – Alumni Arena, Buffalo, NY)

Game Preview: In the midst of the men’s Final Four excitement, don’t overlook the WNIT Championship Game on Saturday afternoon. The Buffalo Bulls host the Troy Trojans in a winner-takes-all showdown for the Women’s NIT title. Buffalo (29–7) had an excellent season in the MAC but fell just short of the NCAA Tournament; they’ve channeled that disappointment into a deep run and now get to play for a championship on their home floor. Troy (24–13) is a Sun Belt squad known for a run-and-gun style of play, and they’ve been lighting up the scoreboard throughout the WNIT. These two teams actually met way back in November, with Buffalo edging Troy 80-78 in a thriller. Expect another tight contest here, featuring a contrast of Buffalo’s disciplined defense against Troy’s high-octane offense.

Betting Line Analysis: (WNIT lines are harder to find, but we can project)

  • Spread: Buffalo -4.5 (projected) – Home court and a better record make Buffalo a modest favorite.

  • Moneyline: Buffalo ~-180 / Troy ~+150 (projected odds)

  • Total: 145.5 (projected) – Troy’s games tend to be high-scoring, Buffalo will try to moderate the pace.

Note: Many sportsbooks may not post an official line for the WNIT final, but these estimates reflect how the matchup might be valued.

Analysis: Buffalo’s advantage comes from playing at home (15-1 home record) and their superior defense. The Bulls allow around 64 points per game, a stark contrast to Troy’s run-and-gun approach – the Trojans score about 80 but give up 73+ on average. In this tournament, Buffalo has been tested in some close games (e.g. a 74-69 semifinal win over Cleveland State), showing they can execute in crunch time. Troy, meanwhile, is coming off a wild 99-96 overtime winover Illinois State in their semifinal, emblematic of their style: they can score in bunches but also struggle to get stops. The key player for Buffalo is Chellia Watson, a first-team All-MAC guard who averages over 20 points per game and dropped 21 in the semifinal. Troy will have to find an answer for Watson on the perimeter. Troy’s offense is balanced – they had four players in double figures regularly, and in the semis guard Briana Peguero erupted for 28 points (including six 3-pointers). Buffalo’s defense will need to chase Troy off the three-point line and control the boards to avoid getting into a shootout. If the game is played in the half-court, Buffalo’s chances to cover and win improve greatly. However, if Troy can speed things up and turn it into a track meet, they could very well pull the upset, as their depth in scoring options can overwhelm. Our prediction leans towards Buffalo using the energy of the home crowd and their defensive tenacity to dictate just enough of the game’s tempo to come out on top in a close one.

Best Bet: Buffalo -4.5 (to win and cover) – It’s hard to pass up Buffalo in this spot. They’re at home in front of an expected packed Alumni Arena, playing for the first postseason championship in program history. They also have the best singular player on the floor (Watson) and a defense that can get key stops, even against a team as potent as Troy. We anticipate Troy making runs (and this could be a one-possession game entering the fourth quarter), but Buffalo’s experience (29 wins, tied for a program record) and home cooking should enable them to pull away late by a few points. It might be a sweat against the spread if Troy hits some late shots, but Buffalo’s free-throw shooting and poise give them the nod by around a 6-8 point margin. If you’re wary of the spread, Buffalo moneyline is a safer parlay piece. For total bettors: the projected 145.5 is tricky – these teams combined for 158 in November, but championships often play out a bit more slowly. A lean would be Over if Troy dictates pace (they only know one speed), but Buffalo will aim for Under. We’ll trust the home team to control things enough that the total lands in the 140s, just under the number.

Props to Watch:

  • Chellia Watson Points – Over: Buffalo’s star guard will be the focal point. She’s averaging 20.6 on the season and has surpassed that in several WNIT games. If her points prop is around 19.5 or 20.5, we like the over. Troy’s defense allowed a big night to Illinois State’s top scorer as well; Watson could be next to torch them for 25+.

  • Troy 3-Pointers – Over: The Trojans will keep firing from long range. They hit 10 threes in the November meeting and Peguero just hit six by herself last game. A team total threes prop for Troy (if available around 8.5) is worth a look to the over. Even if Buffalo defends well, Troy’s pace ensures plenty of attempts from downtown.

  • Alternate Total – Live Betting: One strategy here is to live bet the total based on pace. If Buffalo successfully slows things in the first quarter, an adjusted under could be golden. Conversely, if the first few minutes are a track meet (say 20+ points in 5 minutes), the live over might still have value even as the line jumps, because Troy will happily trade baskets all game. Adjust your strategy as the tempo reveals itself.
