Alabama can absolutely win, but Georgia’s defensive matchup against Alabama’s receivers is more favorable than Alabama’s defense trying to stop UGA’s run game late. UGA by a field goal feels like the most likely outcome.

Handicap

Texas Tech enters as one of the most explosive and complete teams in the country. Their passing attack, headlined by star WR Cam’Ron Douglas (823 yards, 7 TD), can stretch any secondary. BYU brings a ground-and-pound identity led by LJ Martin (1,229 yards, 11 TD), but they lack the passing efficiency needed to keep up in a shootout.

Indiana has been one of the best stories in college football, but this is a major step up in competition. Ohio State’s offense, led by QB Julian Sayin (3,065 yards, 30 TD, 5 INT), has elite balance and multiple playmakers — especially WR Jeremiah Smith (942 yards, 11 TD).

Indiana’s defense has been opportunistic, but they haven’t faced an offense with OSU’s speed and depth. Indoors, the Buckeyes’ passing game should be fully unlocked.

Best Bet: Ohio State -3.5

Indiana has the toughness and coaching to hang around, but OSU’s explosiveness and passing efficiency give them the clear edge. A 7–10 point OSU win is the most likely script.

Handicap

Duke QB D. Mensah has been one of the most productive passers in the country (3,450 yards, 28 TD, 4 INT), keeping the Blue Devils competitive despite defensive inconsistency. Virginia, however, brings a much more complete roster.

UVA’s offense is powered by RB Jalen Taylor (997 yards, 14 TD) and a well-structured passing game that avoids mistakes. Defensively, the Cavaliers are far more reliable than Duke, especially against the run.

This matchup likely comes down to trench strength and defensive stops — both areas where Virginia has the advantage.
