The New England Patriots will travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings on Thursday Night at the U.S. Bank Stadium. These teams haven't met since 2018-2019 season where the Patriots beat the Vikings 24-10 at home covering the spread as -6 pts favorites.

New England Patriots

The Patriots get here with 6-4 record and are 3-2 on the road ranking 3rd in the AFC East. Last week, they beat the Jets 10-3 at home.  Mac Jones completed 23 of 27 passes for 246 yards. But they were only 4 of 15 on third down and had only one field goal, with Nick Folk missing two attempts, despite getting inside the Jets 30 three times.

The Patriots defense is allowing 16.9 points per game, ranking seventh in the NFL. They're giving up 335 yards per game and allowing an average of only 115.0 yards rushing per game.

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have won 7 of their last 8 games and are 4-1 at home so far this season ranking 1st in the NFC North. They're coming from a bad game where they were outscored by the Cowboys 40-3 at home. The Vikings were so disorganized that they committed six penalties for a total of 54 yards in the third quarter. Parsons forced Cousins' lost fumble with a blind-side sack the first time the Vikings attempted to throw, and he finished the game 12 for 23 for 105 yards. Following a career-high 193 receiving yards against the Bills, Justin Jefferson had 33 yards on three catches.

Defensively, they have been struggling, allowing 23.1 points per game while allowing 254 passing yards and 103 rushing yards.

New England are 5-1 SU in their last 6 games.

New England are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games against Minnesota.

New England are 5-0 SU in their last 5 games against Minnesota.

The total has gone UNDER in 12 of New England's last 18 games on the road.

The total has gone OVER in 12 of Minnesota's last 18 games.

Minnesota are 7-1 SU in their last 8 games.

The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Minnesota's last 7 games against New England.

Minnesota are 5-1 SU in their last 6 games at home.

The Patriots have been great lately winning 4 of their last 5 games thanks to the defense who has been outstanding as they have allowed only 3 points in each of the last 2 games. The Vikings were doing great until last game vs Cowboys where they scored only 3 points in the game and will face another tough defense like the Patriots. This should be a very close game as I expect the Pats D to hold the Vikings offense in the game. Bill Belichick knows how to beat this team and we will notice. I'm going with the Patriots.

PICK: Patriots +2.5 (-110)
