Preview

The Utah Utes will travel to Palo Alto and take on the Stanford Cardinal for some Pac-12 action Thursday night from the Maples Pavillion.

 

Utah Utes

The Utes are 1-2 this month, but they are enduring one of the nastiest skids in school history, dropping 12 of their last 13 games. Utah desperately missed big man Branden Carlson throughout the month of January, and he scored a season-high 25 points in the road loss to Colorado last time out.

Utah is 9-16 this season, with an abysmal 2-13 record in Big East play.

Craig Smith's team is averaging 70.5 points per game on 41.6% shooting, while allowing 70.3 points per game. Marco Anthony (9.1ppg, 7.7rpg) came from Utah State with Coach Smith, and he's double-doubled in back-to-back games.

 

Stanford Cardinal

The Cardinal are 3-3 this month, with two of those losses coming at home to Washington State and UCLA. Stanford picked up a double-digit win in Corvallis against Oregon State last time, covering along the way.
