Tonight we have the Portalnd Trailblazers heading to Cleveland to take on the Cavs. Portland has been struggling a bit to start the year as Damian Lillard has got off to a slow start to begin the season. The Cavs come into this game with a young squad that has a deep front and back court to rely on.

The Trailblazers come into this game healthy, with no significant injuries to note. They've dropped two straight on this road trip as they have been bleeding points to start the year. They will need Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum to step it up a bit if they want to win this game tonight against a young Cavs team.

The Cavs come into this game wihtout Isaac Okoro and Kevin Love. This team has plenty of depth to rely on and could actually be better than people think. They boast an athletic back court and front court that can score and their size and athleticism has helped them on the defensive end. They will look to continue to figure out their rotations and prove some people wrong this season.

Portland Trailblazers

The Blazers win or lose based off how Damian Lillard performs, he has played alot of basketball this year as he also played for USA in the summer so his legs may be tired as he hasn't completely looked himself to begin the season. Dame's runningmate CJ McCollumn is always a candidate to go off any night and has gone for 20+ points in 6 of 7 games to start the year. Center Jusuf Nurkic has been a disappointment to begin the year as the mintues haven't been there and he is turning the ball over as well, if he starts this game hot he could get some extra run. Norman Powell should see his full workload after seeing 33 minutes and 29 minutes in his last 2 games. He is a guy thats active on both ends of the court and can also get hot on any given night. This Blazers team has the better talent but they just haven't been able to get it done on the defensive end at all this season. Things could turn around for them tonight against a young Cavs team that lacks the shooting to match the Blazers on the offensive end.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavs come into this game with a young and athletic squad that could suprise some people this year. Collin Sexton and Darius Garland will be in control of the ball and are candidates to put up plenty of points. Rubio is also in the mix and has been excellent off the bench filling up all stat categories as he brings some experience to this team. Jarrett Allen, Lauri Markkanen, and rookie Evan Mobley will be soaking up all the minutes in the front court and all three are athletics bigs that can shoot and are active on the boards. I give the Cavs the upper hand in the front court as their bigs are better and one or two should be on the floor at all times for the Cavs. They could pull of a win tonight against this Blazers team that just dropped a game to the Sixers who were wihout Embid and Tobias Harris.

Prediction

I'll be on the Cavs tonight as I think they are able to out rebound this Blazers team tonight which should create some extra chances for them to score. Something isn't right with this Blazers team right now and I can see them struggling once again tonight.
