The Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks will add another page to their growing chapter at Madison Square Garden this evening.
After blowing a very managable matchup facing the Nuggets without Nikola Jokic, the Pacers blessed bettors with a +420 upset in Salt Lake City over the Utah Jazz.
Malcolm Brogdon continues to improve on a year-to year basis. He's leading the Pacers in points (22.7) and assists (6.7), while grabbing 6.6 rpg.
The return of Caris LeVert has helped, but he missed last night's gimme game, and he may just miss this bout too.
Domantis Sabonis is having another fantastic year up front for Indiana. The former Gonzaga big is scoring 19.3 ppg and leading the team with 11.6 rpg. He's a reliable double-double threat, and he's bound to secure his first triple-double of the season soon.
Chris Duarte has cooled off after a fast start. The first-year guard from Oregon is scoring 15.2 ppg, which is second among all rookies.
New York Knicks
Julius Randle is the leader of this New York Knicks team. The former UK forward is leading the team in points (22.5) and rebounding (11.1), and they'll need him down low against the Greek Freak.
R.J. Barrett has taken a third-year leap. After scoring a career-high 35 points against New Orleans in front of former Duke teammate Zion Williamson, he led the team with 27 points against Toronto.
The addition's of Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker have paid off early. Fournier dropped 32 in the opener, and he's averaging 14.9 ppg. Walker finally got things going in a return to Charlotte, scoring a season-high 26 points.
Former MVP Derrick Rose leads an energetic second team. He's averaging 11.1 ppg, including a 23-point outburst against Orlando.
The Knicks really need a win here. After blowing another lead this weekend in Charlotte, it's time for Tom Thibadeau's team to stop the bleeding and make a stand. Look for a physical, 90's Knicks type of game from MSG here. With Orlando and Houston set to come to town, trust the Knicks start this home set off with a win.
Take the Knicks spread at MSG tonite.
