Preview

The San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants will play the 2nd game of the series at the Oracle Park on Tuesday night. The Padres won the first game of the series. Taylor Rogers pitched the ninth inning to earn his third save in San Diego's 4-2 victory against losing pitcher and identical twin brother Tyler Rogers.

San Diego Padres

The Padres lost the opening day game but haven't lost since then. The team is averaging 4.8 runs and allowing just 2.6 runs per game. Erick Hosmer is the leader in batting average with .533 while Jurickson Profar leads with 2 home runs and 7 RBI.

Joe Musgrove and Yu Darvish done an excellent job in their first games. Darvish threw 6 scoreless innings and  Musgrove started and threw six good innings giving up two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out eight.

Probable Pitcher:

Yu Darvish (0-0, 0.0 ERA) will take the mound in the 1st game of the series for the Padres. Darvish didn't factor into the decision Thursday against Arizona after tossing six scoreless innings, walking four and striking out three without allowing a hit. He didn't do so well against the Giants last season, in his last 3 games against them he allowed 13 runs in 15.2 innings.

San Francisco Giants

The Giants get here with a 2-2 record and won their opening series against the Marlins. The team is averaging 3 runs and allowing 3.35 runs per game. Brandon Belt leads the team with 1 home run and batting for an average of .417. Mauricio Dubon has 2 RBI.

Logan Webb and Carlos Rodon are the better pitchers for the Giants. Webb pitched 6 innings vs Marlins and allowed only one run recording a 1.50 ERA. Rodon also allowed only one run against the Miami in 5 innings pitched.

Probable Pitcher:

Alex Cobb (0-0, 0-0 ERA) will be on the mound for the Dbacks in the 4th game of the series. The 34-year-old righty was excellent across 93.1 innings last season with the Angels, logging a career-high 16.5 K-BB% and a 53.3 GB%. He had a record of 8-3 with an ERA of 3.76. He hasn't pitched against the Padres since 2013.
