MLB Best Bets & Player Props
New York Yankees at Boston Red Sox — 4:10 PM ET (Apple TV+)
Probables: Luis Gil (NYY, 3–1, 3.31) vs Lucas Giolito (BOS, 10–3, 3.38)
Best Bet: Under 8.5 Confidence: 3.5/5
Two power arms with whiff rates to escape traffic; both pens have leverage options and Fenway trends under when elite RHPs start. Gil’s fastball/slider profile plays vs a right-leaning BOS order, while Giolito’s changeup neutralizes NYY lefty power. Both clubs rank top-10 in staff K% since August.
- Prop: Giancarlo Stanton u1.5 total bases — 3/5 (chase vulnerability vs Gio’s CH/SL mix).
- Prop: Triston Casas to record an RBI — 2.5/5 (run-producer in middle of order, plus-money angle).
- Alt sprinkle: First 5 Under 4.5 — 3/5.
Tampa Bay Rays at Chicago Cubs — 11:20 AM ET (MLBN)
Probables: Shane Baz (TB, 9–11, 4.94) vs Matt Boyd (CHC, 12–8, 2.92)
Best Bet: Cubs ML -175 Confidence: 4/5
Boyd has been nails at home with elite contact suppression; Baz’s command wobbles into a patient Cubs lineup that’s top-5 in BB% at Wrigley. Chicago’s late-inning run prevention has been markedly better than TB’s on the road.
- Prop: Cody Bellinger o1.5 TB — 3/5.
- Prop: Seiya Suzuki to score a run — 3/5.
- Longshot: Isaac Paredes HR — 2/5 (pull power vs LHP).
Kansas City Royals at Philadelphia Phillies — 3:45 PM ET
Probables: Michael Lorenzen (KC, 5–10, 4.63) vs Walker Buehler (PHI, 7–7, 5.45)
Best Bet: Phillies ML -135 Confidence: 3/5
PHI’s home OPS and bullpen depth tip this. Even with Buehler uneven, the Phillies mash mediocre four-seam profiles and have crushed non-elite RHPs at home. KC’s offense travels worse and is bottom-third in ISO last 30 days.
- Prop: Bryce Harper o1.5 TB — 3.5/5.
- Prop: Bobby Witt Jr. o0.5 SB — 3/5 (only if ≥+ odds).
- Alt: PHI TT o4.5 — 3/5.
Pittsburgh Pirates at Washington Nationals — 3:45 PM ET
Probables: Mitch Keller (PIT, 6–14, 4.16) vs Bryson Lord (WSH, 5–8, 4.20)
Best Bet: Pirates ML -110 Confidence: 3/5
Keller’s current form and PIT’s contact profile vs average-velo righties lean Bucs. Washington’s pen remains one of the shakier units late; PIT’s lineup has enough top-order OBP to capitalize.
- Prop: Oneil Cruz o1.5 TB — 3/5.
- Prop: CJ Abrams to score a run — 2.5/5.
Baltimore Orioles at Toronto Blue Jays — 4:07 PM ET
Probables: Tyler Rogers (BAL, 8–2, 1.51) vs Chris Bassitt (TOR, 11–8, 3.97)
Best Bet: Under 8 Confidence: 3/5
Unusual look with Rogers’ funk limiting barrels; Bassitt excels sequencing at home. Both bullpens are trustworthy in leverage. BAL’s road power has dipped; TOR’s offense has leaned on tight games at home.
- Prop: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. o1.5 TB — 3/5.
- Prop: Adley Rutschman o1.5 TB — 2.5/5.
Chicago White Sox at Cleveland Guardians — 4:10 PM ET
Probables: Martín Pérez (CHW, 1–4, 3.15) vs Tanner Bibee (CLE, 9–11, 4.69)
Best Bet: Guardians -1.5 (+) Confidence: 3/5
CHW bottom-3 in runs on the road and thin behind the starters. Bibee’s K% uptick lately is promising, and CLE’s contact bats punish sinker/change LHPs like Pérez.
- Prop: José Ramírez to record an RBI — 3/5.
- Prop: Steven Kwan o1.5 TB — 3/5.
Detroit Tigers at Miami Marlins — 4:10 PM ET (MLBN)
Probables: Tarik Skubal (DET, 13–4, 2.10) vs Sandy Alcantara (MIA, 8–12, 5.67)
Best Bet: Tigers -1.5 RL (+) Confidence: 4.5/5
Massive SP edge: Skubal’s Cy Young-level metrics vs a Marlins lineup near the bottom in xwOBA. Detroit’s pen has stabilized; Miami struggles to produce extra-base hits.
- Prop: Riley Greene o1.5 TB — 3.5/5.
- Prop: Tarik Skubal o7.5 Ks — 3/5.
Texas Rangers at New York Mets — 4:10 PM ET
Probables: Jacob deGrom (TEX, 11–7, 2.78) vs Josh Tong (NYM, 1–1, 4.09)
Best Bet: Rangers ML -110 Confidence: 3.5/5
DeGrom’s stuff advantage is clear; Texas offense is streaky but profiles well vs righties without elite swing-and-miss. Mets’ edge is bullpen, so look TEX F5 as well.
- Prop: Corey Seager o1.5 TB — 3.5/5.
- Prop: Francisco Lindor to score a run — 3/5.
- Alt: TEX First 5 ML — 3.5/5.
Houston Astros at Atlanta Braves — 4:15 PM ET
Probables: HOU Undecided vs Hurston Waldrep (ATL, 4–0, 1.33)
Best Bet: Braves ML (up to -135) Confidence: 3/5
Waldrep’s splitter has been a cheat code; until HOU names a comparable arm, ATL has the starting edge at home. Keep unit size modest with pitching unknown for HOU.
- Prop: Austin Riley o1.5 TB — 3/5.
- Prop: Ozzie Albies to record a hit & score — 2.5/5.
Arizona Diamondbacks at Minnesota Twins — 5:10 PM ET
Probables: Brandon Pfaadt (ARI, 13–8, 5.18) vs Pablo López (MIN, 5–4, 2.84)
Best Bet: Twins ML -130 Confidence: 3/5
López has returned to ace-level run prevention; Pfaadt’s long-ball issues travel. Minnesota’s bats are volatile but better at home; lean to SP edge.
- Prop: Carlos Correa o1.5 TB — 3/5.
- Prop: Corbin Carroll o0.5 SB — 2.5/5 (price dependent).
St. Louis Cardinals at Milwaukee Brewers — 5:10 PM ET
Probables: Andre Pallante (STL, 6–13, 5.28) vs Quinn Priester (MIL, 12–2, 3.25)
Best Bet: Brewers -1.5 RL (-110 or better) Confidence: 4/5
Huge form gap plus MIL’s elite home record. Pallante’s contact profile invites crooked numbers; Brewers’ top-third has been scorching.
- Prop: William Contreras RBI — 3.5/5.
- Prop: Christian Yelich o1.5 TB — 3/5.
Colorado Rockies at San Diego Padres — 6:40 PM ET
Probables: T. Gordon (COL, 5–6, 6.60) vs JP Sears (SD, 8–10, 5.01)
Best Bet: Padres -1.5 RL Confidence: 4/5
Auto-fade of the Rockies on the road continues. Padres’ righty bats should feast, and Petco has still played fine for SD’s offense vs low-K pitchers.
- Prop: Fernando Tatis Jr. 2+ TB — 4/5.
- Prop: Manny Machado to record an RBI — 3/5.
Cincinnati Reds at Oakland Athletics — 7:05 PM PT
Probables: Brady Singer (CIN, 13–9, 3.98) vs J.T. Ginn (ATH, 3–6, 4.95)
Best Bet: Reds ML Confidence: 3/5
Singer’s ground-ball lean travels and suppresses damage; A’s pen remains attackable late. Even in a bigger park, CIN has more paths to 4–5 runs.
- Prop: Elly De La Cruz o1.5 TB — 3/5 (plus SB sprinkle).
- Prop: Brent Rooker HR sprinkle — 2/5.
Los Angeles Angels at Seattle Mariners — 7:10 PM PT (Apple TV+)
Probables: Yusei Kikuchi (LAA, 6–11, 4.18) vs Luis Castillo (SEA, 9–8, 3.85)
Best Bet: Mariners ML -175 Confidence: 3.5/5
Castillo at home is a buy; Angels’ chase rates vs elite heaters remain high. Seattle’s bullpen edge is material in a tight total environment.
- Prop: Julio Rodríguez 2+ TB — 4/5.
- Prop: Mike Trout o1.5 TB — 3/5 (if he’s in).
Los Angeles Dodgers at San Francisco Giants — 7:15 PM PT (MLBN)
Probables: Yoshinobu Yamamoto (LAD, 11–8, 2.72) vs Justin Verlander (SF, 3–10, 4.09)
Best Bet: Dodgers ML -160 Confidence: 3.5/5
Yamamoto’s command and whiffs travel; LAD lineup depth pressures SF’s middle relief. Verlander has pitched better of late but allows loud contact when behind in counts.
- Prop: Freddie Freeman o1.5 TB — 3.5/5.
- Prop: Matt Chapman u0.5 hits (+) — 2.5/5 (fade vs elite splitter/command).
