Soccer Picks April 16–18: Best Bets, Predictions & Props

Midweek Soccer Betting Picks (April 16-18, 2025)
UEFA Champions League – Quarterfinals (April 16, 2025)
Real Madrid vs Arsenal (Champions League Quarterfinal Leg 2) – Odds: Real Madrid -120, Arsenal +300 (Draw +250); Over/Under: 2.5 goals
Prediction & Analysis: Real Madrid bring a 1-goal edge from the first leg and will look to finish the job at the Santiago Bernabéu. Arsenal’s attack, led by Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, must press early. Madrid’s midfield trio (Luka Modrić, Toni Kroos, Eduardo Camavinga) should control possession and tempo. Arsenal’s defense has been leaky away from home, and Karim Benzema’s big-game prowess gives Madrid the edge. Expect a tactical start, with Arsenal pushing forward as time wanes.
Best Bet: Real Madrid Moneyline (-120) – The defending European champs at home, needing a result, is a spot to back their experience and quality. Los Blancos seldom falter under the lights in Madrid, and Benzema or Vinícius Jr. should find a breakthrough to secure the win.
Top Prop: Karim Benzema to Score Anytime – Benzema is Madrid’s talisman in UCL knockout games. In a must-score situation, back him to snag a goal through a penalty or poacher’s finish in the box.
Inter Milan vs Bayern Munich (Champions League Quarterfinal Leg 2) – Odds: Inter +210, Bayern +110 (Draw +260); Over/Under: 3.0 goals
Prediction & Analysis: Bayern Munich enters the San Siro after a 2-0 first-leg win. Inter Milan, paced by Lautaro Martínez and Nicolò Barella, will attack from the outset to overturn the deficit. Bayern’s high press and lethal wingers (Kingsley Coman, Leroy Sané) can punish Inter on the counter. Expect Inter’s defense (Milan Škriniar, Alessandro Bastoni) to push up, which could leave gaps for Robert Lewandowski (now at Bayern) to exploit. Bayern has the pedigree to manage the game even if Inter scores first.
Best Bet: Both Teams to Score (-165) – Inter will throw numbers forward and should net at home, while Bayern’s firepower is likely to strike on the counter. A 2-1 type match feels likely as Inter chases the game and Bayern looks to seal the tie.
Top Prop: Lautaro Martínez Over 3.5 Shots – Inter’s striker will be trigger-happy given the urgency. Lautaro should tally several attempts (on and off target) as he leads the Nerazzurri’s desperate offensive effort.

UEFA Europa League – Quarterfinals (April 17, 2025)
Lazio vs Bodø/Glimt – Odds: Lazio -200, Bodø/Glimt +500 (Draw +330); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: Lazio return to Rome after a 1-1 draw in Norway. Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinković-Savić should dictate play against the underdog Bodø/Glimt. The Norwegian side is organized and fearless, but at the Stadio Olimpico the talent gap shows. Lazio’s defense has been solid at home in Europe.
Best Bet: Lazio -1.0 Asian Handicap – Confident in a multi-goal win. Immobile’s finishing and Lazio’s experience should produce a 2-0 type victory.
Top Prop: Ciro Immobile to Score (+100) – Immobile is Lazio’s go-to scorer. With Lazio likely on the front foot, back him to bury a chance.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Tottenham Hotspur – Odds: Frankfurt +180, Spurs +140 (Draw +260); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: Tottenham carries a slim 2-1 lead to Germany. Frankfurt’s counterattack (led by Randal Kolo Muani) will test a sometimes-shaky Spurs back line. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min thrive in open games – and Frankfurt must open up. Expect an end-to-end contest if Frankfurt score early.
Best Bet: Over 2.5 Goals (-130) – Both sides can score and have defensive lapses. A 2-2 type thriller could be on deck with attacking talent on display.
Top Prop: Harry Kane Anytime Assist – Kane may drop deep if Frankfurt press, allowing him to play provider. He’s developed as a playmaker; an assist to Son or Kulusevski offers value.
Athletic Bilbao vs Rangers – Odds: Athletic -150, Rangers +400 (Draw +280); O/U: 2.0 goals
Analysis: Bilbao drew 0-0 in Glasgow, now back at San Mamés where they’re traditionally strong. Iñaki Williams’ pace will trouble Rangers’ back line. Rangers will set up defensively and try to nick a goal via set-piece or counter (watch James Tavernier on free kicks). Bilbao should control possession and chances.
Best Bet: Athletic Bilbao to Keep a Clean Sheet (+110) – The Basques’ defense at home is stout, and Rangers struggled to create in leg one. Back Unai Simón & Co. to shut the door.
Top Prop: Under 9.5 Corners – A tight, physical game could see fewer wide attacks and set pieces. Both teams may be cautious early, limiting corner opportunities.
Manchester United vs Lyon – Odds: Man United -170, Lyon +450 (Draw +300); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: United lead after a 3-1 away win, now returning to Old Trafford. Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford should find joy against a Lyon side that must attack. Lyon’s Moussa Dembélé will press for an early goal, but United’s midfield (Casemiro anchoring) can manage the game. United likely strikes on the counter as Lyon pushes forward.
Best Bet: Manchester United -1.5 (+135) – United can capitalize on Lyon’s desperation. A professional 2-0 win at home covers this spread, with quality edges in every phase for the Red Devils.
Top Prop: Marcus Rashford to Score (+120) – In great form, Rashford’s speed on the break and confidence in front of goal make him a strong bet to find the net in front of the home crowd.

UEFA Europa Conference League – Quarterfinals (April 17, 2025)
Jagiellonia Białystok vs Real Betis – Odds: Betis -115, Jagiellonia +320 (Draw +260); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: Polish side Jagiellonia stunned Betis 1-1 in Spain. Back home, they’ll be buoyed by a passionate crowd. Betis, led by Nabil Fekir and Borja Iglesias, will emphasize their technical edge. Expect Betis to dominate possession and Jagiellonia to defend deep and counter through Jesús Imaz. Ultimately, Betis’s class on the ball should wear down the hosts.
Best Bet: Under 2.5 Goals (-105) – Jagiellonia will try to keep it tight. Betis might be cautious not to concede first. A 1-0 or 2-0 Betis win is the likely outcome as chances come at a premium.
Top Prop: Borja Iglesias to Score the First Goal – The big Betis striker is lethal in the air and on penalties. He’s a good bet to break the deadlock, likely via a set-piece header or spot-kick.
Fiorentina vs NK Celje – Odds: Fiorentina -300, Celje +750 (Draw +400); O/U: 3.0 goals
Analysis: Fiorentina cruised 3-0 in Slovenia and should rotate some starters at home. Even so, Luca Jović and Nicolás González off the bench can menace Celje. The Slovenian side may play for pride, but the gap in talent is huge. Fiorentina’s possession play will keep Celje pinned back most of the match.
Best Bet: Fiorentina -1.5 (-140) – The Viola are heavy favorites to win by multiple goals again. Their depth players will be eager to impress, and a comfortable win (say 2-0 or 3-1) is on the cards in Florence.
Top Prop: Both Halves Under 2.5 Goals – Expect steady but not frenetic scoring. Fiorentina might score one or two in the first half and coast. Each half should stay under 3 goals; this prop covers a scenario of a professional, low-stress victory.
Chelsea vs Legia Warsaw – Odds: Chelsea -250, Legia +600 (Draw +350); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: Chelsea surprisingly drew 2-2 in Poland. Back at Stamford Bridge, the Blues will field a strong lineup to avoid an upset. Expect Mason Mount and Raheem Sterling to create waves early. Legia’s defense showed vulnerability, and Chelsea hit the woodwork twice in the first leg. Legia’s only hope is to weather the storm and capitalize on a counter through Tomas Pekhart. Chelsea’s quality and depth (look for Kai Havertz as a super sub) should overwhelm eventually.
Best Bet: Chelsea -1.5 (-120) – Thomas Tuchel’s men will be motivated to put this away. A focused Chelsea can win 3-0 at home, covering the spread behind a dominant midfield display (N’Golo Kanté chasing every ball).
Top Prop: Raheem Sterling to Provide an Assist – Sterling’s dribbling will draw Legia out of shape. He has a knack for the cut-back pass; backing him to set up a goal (perhaps to Mount or Havertz) is a savvy prop in a game Chelsea should control.
Rapid Vienna vs Djurgården – Odds: Rapid -110, Djurgården +280 (Draw +240); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: After a 1-1 in Sweden, this tie is finely poised. Rapid Vienna at home play aggressively – expect Christoph Knasmüllner to pull the strings in attack. Djurgården are organized and will look to hit on set pieces (watch Magnus Eriksson’s delivery). Vienna’s pace on the wings and the home crowd energy should tilt the match in their favor, but the Swedes won’t go quietly.
Best Bet: Draw First Half (+115) – Neither team will want to make the first mistake. A cagey first 45 with 0-0 or 1-1 scoreline is likely before things open up late.
Top Prop: Both Teams to Score (-105) – As legs tire in the second half, chances will come. Djurgården’s confidence from leg one and Rapid’s attacking intent should each yield a goal, even if one comes very late.

English Premier League – Midweek Clash (April 16, 2025)
Newcastle United vs Crystal Palace – Odds: Newcastle -130, Palace +400 (Draw +270); O/U: 2.5 goals
Prediction & Analysis: A lone Premier League fixture sees Newcastle host Crystal Palace in a rescheduled match. Newcastle have been in fine form, with Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimarães leading a Magpies attack that’s tough to contain at St. James’ Park. Crystal Palace, however, have found goals hard to come by; Wilfried Zaha remains their main threat on the break. Expect Newcastle’s stout defense (anchored by Sven Botman) to nullify Palace for long stretches. Palace will likely sit deep and try to nick a goal via set-piece or Zaha’s individual brilliance, but Newcastle’s high press and midfield quality should keep them on the front foot.
Best Bet: Newcastle United -0.5 (Moneyline Win) – At -130, backing the home side straight-up offers value. Newcastle’s home crowd and current momentum give them a clear edge. A 2-0 victory with Isak on the scoresheet is the projected outcome, covering the moneyline comfortably.
Top Prop: Newcastle to Win to Nil (+140) – The Magpies have one of the best defensive records in the league. Against a Palace side that struggles for goals, a Newcastle win without conceding offers a nice plus-money payout. Nick Pope is a good bet to keep a clean sheet in this one.

Liga MX – Clausura Matchday 16 Matches (April 16, 2025)
Monterrey vs Club América – Odds: Monterrey +160, América +175 (Draw +220); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: A heavyweight battle in Liga MX. Monterrey’s attacking trio of Rogelio Funes Mori, Germán Berterame, and Maxi Meza has been in sync, especially at home in Estadio BBVA. Club América, however, are unbeaten in five; Jonathan Rodríguez and Diego Valdés provide plenty of firepower. Expect a playoff-like intensity – tackles flying and quality chances at both ends. América’s defense can be exploited on set pieces, where Monterrey’s Nicolás Sánchez (towering center-back) is dangerous.
Best Bet: Both Teams to Score (-150) – These sides rarely fail to score. Monterrey at home will press for goals, and América’s counter-attack is lethal. A 1-1 or 2-1 type game feels right, making BTTS a solid play despite the juice.
Top Prop: Over 1.5 Second Half Goals – The first half could be a bit cautious, but by the second, the game should open as legs tire. Both teams have super-subs (keep an eye on América’s Henry Martín off the bench) who can impact late. Two or more goals after the break is a strong angle.
Querétaro vs Atlas – Odds: Querétaro +150, Atlas +180 (Draw +230); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: Querétaro have turned Estadio Corregidora into a fortress lately, grinding out results with a stout back line. Atlas, however, just broke a scoring slump last weekend – Julio Furch finally got back on the score sheet. This could be a scrappy affair; neither side wants to drop points in the push for playoff positioning. Expect Querétaro’s midfield destroyer Javier Cabrera to shadow Atlas playmaker Julián Quiñones. Chances may be few.
Best Bet: Under 2.5 Goals (-120) – Both teams play pragmatic soccer. Querétaro would be content with a 1-0 win or 1-1 draw, and Atlas on the road may prioritize defense first. The under is the sharp play in what could be a low-event match.
Top Prop: Draw (+230) – As a prop, the draw has value. These teams are evenly matched and a stalemate is a real possibility if neither can find a breakthrough. A 1-1 draw with late drama (perhaps a penalty for one side and a quick equalizer) wouldn’t surprise.
Atlético San Luis vs Toluca – Odds: Toluca -135, San Luis +350 (Draw +280); O/U: 3.0 goals
Analysis: Toluca’s high-flying offense travels to face Atlético San Luis. Leonardo Fernández and Camilo Sanvezzo have been dynamite for Toluca, which leads the league in goals. San Luis, however, have quietly been solid at home, pressing high and forcing turnovers. Toluca’s back line is vulnerable (they often win shootouts), so San Luis striker Abel Hernández could feast on counter-attacks. Expect an entertaining game under the lights.
Best Bet: Over 2.5 Goals (-140) – Toluca rarely play low-scoring games. They can easily put up 2-3 goals themselves, and San Luis will likely snag one as well. A 3-2 type thriller could be on tap, making the over very attractive despite the higher total.
Top Prop: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 (+100) – Pairing BTTS with the over brings even money value. It’s hard to see either keeper pitching a shutout here given Toluca’s attacking talent and their defensive lapses. This combo covers a 2-1 or 3-1 type result nicely.
Mazatlán FC vs Tijuana (Xolos) – Odds: Mazatlán +115, Tijuana +230 (Draw +240); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: Mazatlán have struggled this Clausura but are slight favorites at “El Kraken” stadium against inconsistent Club Tijuana. Mazatlán’s issue has been finishing; striker Aké Loba gets chances but hasn’t converted many. Xolos of Tijuana boast Lucas Rodríguez and Edgar López up front, yet they’ve been dreadful travelers (winless away). The humidity of Mazatlán could sap Tijuana’s energy in the second half. This feels like a match decided by one mistake or moment of brilliance.
Best Bet: Mazatlán Draw No Bet (-135) – We like Mazatlán to avoid defeat at home. By taking DNB, we push if it ends level. Mazatlán showed signs of life last match (a 1-1 draw at León) and should capitalize on a Tijuana side that often fades.
Top Prop: Under 2.5 Goals (-110) – Neither attack is particularly potent right now. A tight 1-0 or 1-1 game is likely, so the under is a solid prop play. One goal could very well decide it – look for a set-piece or defensive error to be pivotal.
Pumas UNAM vs Santos Laguna – Odds: UNAM -200, Santos +450 (Draw +320); O/U: 3.0 goals
Analysis: Pumas are heavy favorites at Estadio Olímpico Universitario, where their attack has been explosive. Juan Dinenno and Eduardo “Toto” Salvio lead a Pumas front line that’s averaging over 2 goals per home game. Santos Laguna’s defense has been porous (they’ve conceded 10 goals in their last 4 away). Santos does have scoring punch via Harold Preciado, so Pumas must stay alert. Expect Pumas to dominate possession and pepper the Santos goal with shots. Altitude and tempo will wear Santos down.
Best Bet: Pumas UNAM -1.0 (-130) – Pumas should win by multiple goals if they play to form. A 3-1 win sounds about right given their home scoring rate and Santos’s leaky back line. At worst, a one-goal win pushes the bet.
Top Prop: Juan Dinenno to Score & Pumas to Win (+110) – Dinenno is Pumas’ leading scorer and focal point. If we like Pumas to take the three points, pairing that with a Dinenno goal is a savvy way to get plus odds. He’s on penalty duty and will be hovering in the box all match, making this combo likely to hit.
[April 18] Puebla vs Necaxa – Odds: Puebla +135, Necaxa +200 (Draw +240); O/U: 2.5 goals
Analysis: Wrapping up the Liga MX midweek slate, Puebla hosts Necaxa on Friday night. Puebla have found form recently, with striker Martín Barragán scoring in back-to-back games. Necaxa, on the other hand, are winless in four and struggle on the road. Look for Puebla’s high press to fluster Necaxa’s midfield. Necaxa will try to play for a draw, relying on goalkeeper Hugo González to stand on his head. Puebla’s home support should spur them on to create enough chances.
Best Bet: Puebla Moneyline (+135) – This is a nice plus-money spot for a home side in better form. Necaxa’s defense has been shaky, so we’ll ride with Puebla to grab a 1-0 or 2-1 win in front of their fans, securing a valuable three points.
Top Prop: Under 2.5 Goals (-115) – Neither team is known for high-scoring affairs. Necaxa will aim to keep it tight, and Puebla, while favored, aren’t an offensive juggernaut. A grindy game with minimal scoring is likely, making the under a smart prop bet.

Spanish Liga F (Women’s Primera División) Matches
Barcelona Femení vs Sevilla (April 16) – Barcelona (W) -7500, Sevilla (W) +1800 (Draw +900); O/U: 4.5
Barça’s women are an absolute juggernaut. Even with some rotation, they have world-class talent (Alexia Putellas, Asisat Oshoala) that should overwhelm Sevilla. Expect constant pressure and a lopsided shot count. Sevilla will defend bravely but rarely venture forward.
Best Bet: Barcelona -3.5 Handicap – The odds are astronomical on the moneyline, so take Barça to cover a big spread. A 5-0 rout is on the table given their firepower and Sevilla’s struggles.
Top Prop: Oshoala to Score 2+ Goals – The Nigerian striker is lethal against overmatched defenses. Back her to bag a brace in what should be a one-way traffic match.
Real Sociedad Femení vs Eibar (April 18) – Two mid-table Spanish Liga F sides meet in an early Friday fixture. Real Sociedad’s women play very organized at Zubieta, and striker Amaiur Sarriegi is a constant threat. Eibar Women have conceded the second-most goals in the league. This points to Sociedad controlling the game with technical play and eventually breaking through.
Best Bet: Real Sociedad (W) to Win (-160) – The home side’s quality in possession and slight edge in finishing should see them through. A 2-1 win for La Real Femení is the prediction, with Eibar making it competitive but ultimately falling short.
Top Prop: Both Teams to Score (+105) – Eibar’s away matches often see them nick a goal even in defeat. Take BTTS at plus money; Eibar might capitalize once on a defensive lapse even as Sociedad likely scores twice.
Atlético Madrid Femení vs Granadilla Tenerife (April 18) – Atlético’s women are contenders, boasting attacking stars like Ludmila da Silva. Granadilla Tenerife are a scrappy side from the Canary Islands who tend to play Atléti tough. In Alcalá de Henares, though, Atlético should dictate play. Look for Atléti to fly down the wings and create numerous chances. Granadilla’s best hope is set pieces.
Best Bet: Atlético Madrid (W) -1.5 (-120) – Expect a professional 3-1 type win for Atléti Femení. They have greater depth and should pull away by the second half.
Top Prop: Ludmila Anytime Goal – The Brazilian forward’s speed is a nightmare to defend. Bank on Ludmila scoring, likely getting in behind the Tenerife back line for a one-on-one with the keeper.

U.S. Open Cup – Notable Third Round Matches
(April 16 action features lower-division clubs battling to reach the Cup’s later stages, providing betting value in motivated underdogs and regional rivalries.)
-
Columbus Crew II vs Pittsburgh Riverhounds: Pittsburgh (USL Championship side) brings experience and physicality, but Crew II (MLS Next Pro team) has youthful talent eager to impress. Best Bet: Pittsburgh Riverhounds Draw No Bet – The Riverhounds’ veteran savvy should see them avoid defeat. Prop: Under 2.5 Goals– Expect a tight affair; Pittsburgh often grinds out 1-0 wins in Cup play.
-
Charlotte Independence vs North Carolina FC: A North Carolina derby between two USL League One sides. Emotions will run high. Best Bet: Both Teams to Score (Yes) – These rivals will trade blows in an open game. Prop: Over 8.5 Corners – Derby matches tend to be frenetic; plenty of crosses and deflections should yield a high corner count.
-
Louisville City vs Loudoun United: Louisville (USL powerhouse) hosts Loudoun (MLS reserve squad). Louisville’s attack, led by Cameron Lancaster, should dominate. Best Bet: Louisville City -1.0 – They have the firepower and home support to win by at least two. Prop: Louisville to Score in Both Halves – Expect LouCity to come out hot and keep pressure on throughout.
-
Charleston Battery vs South Georgia Tormenta: Charleston is flying high in the USL Championship and faces a Tormenta side known for Cup upsets. Best Bet: Charleston to Win (-1) – The Battery’s quality and depth give them a big edge at home. Prop: First Half – Charleston Moneyline – Look for an early Battery goal to set the tone.
-
Union Omaha vs San Antonio FC: Omaha (League One champs in 2021) host the reigning USL Championship champions San Antonio. Upset alert! Omaha knocked off MLS teams last year. Best Bet: Union Omaha +0.5 – Take the underdogs on a spread; they can force extra time or win outright with their giant-killer pedigree. Prop:Game to Go to Penalties (+500) – For a fun long shot, this could be a nail-biter that’s level after 90’ and 120’.
(Later on April 17 in Cup play:)
-
Detroit City FC vs Westchester Flames: Detroit City’s stout defense (and frenzied home fans) meet a USL League Two Cinderella. Best Bet: Detroit City Clean Sheet (-110) – Le Rouge should shut down the semi-pro Flames comfortably. Prop: Under 3.5 Goals – Detroit might win 2-0 or 3-0 without needing to run up the score.
-
Tulsa Athletic vs Phoenix Rising: Amateur side Tulsa stunned a USL team last round. Now USL giant Phoenix comes to town. Best Bet: Both Teams to Score (-130) – Tulsa’s attack has been clicking, and Phoenix won’t be held off the board. Prop: Over 1.5 Second Half Goals – Fitness could decide this; expect goals to flow as Tulsa tires.
-
New Mexico United vs El Paso Locomotive: A fierce all-USL Championship clash. New Mexico’s home-field advantage (and altitude) make them favorites. Best Bet: New Mexico ML (-120) – Their fans create a fortress. Prop: Over 10.5 Corners – These teams play wide and aggressive; a flurry of corners is likely.
-
Sacramento Republic vs El Farolito: Sacramento, last year’s Open Cup darlings, face Bay Area amateurs El Farolito. Best Bet: Sacramento -2.5 – The Republic will field some starters and should roll comfortably by 3+ goals. Prop: Sacramento to Score 3+ Goals (-110) – Their attack is too much for an amateur defense; the Republic could hit this by halftime.
-
Las Vegas Lights vs Chattanooga Red Wolves: Two lower-league sides in a cross-country matchup. Travel might hurt Chattanooga. Best Bet: Las Vegas Lights to Advance (-130) – Slight lean to the home side in extra time. Prop:Exact Score 1-1 (+550) – Regulation could well end in a stalemate before Vegas wins in extra time or PKs.
(These Cup games are famously unpredictable – consider smaller wagers. The best bet is often backing experienced pro sides against upstart amateurs, and looking for unders if conditions (and nerves) make scoring tricky.)

Chinese Super League (April 16, 2025)
The CSL rolls on midweek with a slate of fixtures early Wednesday. Defending champions Shanghai Port host Chengdu Rongcheng in a top-table clash, while Tianjin Jinmen Tiger face newly promoted Qingdao West Coast in a potential banana peel game.
Shanghai Port vs Chengdu Rongcheng – Odds: Shanghai -200, Chengdu +500 (Draw +320); O/U: 2.5
Shanghai Port, led by Oscar and Wu Lei, have been in imperious form at home. Chengdu are defensively sound but have yet to face an attack this potent.
Best Bet: Shanghai Port -1.0 (-130) – Expect a 2-0 win as Oscar pulls the strings and Shanghai’s class shows.
Top Prop: Wu Lei to Score First (+300) – The Chinese international often sets the tone. Back Wu Lei to break the deadlock with a clinical finish.
Tianjin Jinmen Tiger vs Qingdao West Coast – Odds: Tianjin -110, Qingdao +280 (Draw +240)
Tianjin have quietly gone unbeaten in four, and Brazilian striker Jonathas is a matchup nightmare for Qingdao’s back line. Qingdao West Coast (recently rebranded) will scrap for a point.
Best Bet: Tianjin to Win & Under 3.5 Goals (+120) – A professional 2-0 home win cashes this combo. Tianjin’s defense should contain Qingdao’s limited attack.
Top Prop: Jonathas Anytime Goal (-105) – He’s Tianjin’s target man and penalty taker. That’s a solid price for the likely man on the score sheet.
Meizhou Hakka vs Shaanxi Chang’an – A mid-table tussle. Meizhou’s home matches trend low-scoring and tight. Shaanxi (if playing under the “Dalian Yingbo” moniker on some books) struggle on the road.
Best Bet: Draw (+225) – Neither side would be too unhappy with a point. A 1-1 draw is on the cards.
Top Prop: Correct Score 1-1 (+500) – For a flyer, this exact score has a decent shot given the evenly matched squads.
Shanghai Shenhua vs Henan Songshan Longmen – Shenhua are unbeaten and boast a stout defense (Jiang Guangtai commanding the back). Henan’s attack relies heavily on Fernando Karanga. In Shanghai, Shenhua should dictate.
Best Bet: Shanghai Shenhua to Win (-150) – They’ve been grinding out results. A 1-0 or 2-0 victory is likely against a Henan side that can’t match Shenhua’s organization.
Top Prop: Under 2.5 Goals (-140) – Shenhua unders have been golden this season. They are happy to get ahead and shut up shop.
(Chinese Super League matches often see home teams favored due to travel distances. Look for late lineups, as some clubs rotate heavily midweek. In CSL betting, unders and Asian handicaps on favorites are common plays.)

Danish Superliga – Round 25 Midweek
Silkeborg IF vs AaB Aalborg (April 16) – Odds: Silkeborg +110, Aalborg +230 (Draw +240); O/U: 2.5 goals
Silkeborg and Aalborg meet in a relegation group clash. Silkeborg’s young striker Nicklas Helenius has been hot, and on their home artificial pitch, Silkeborg typically excel in possession. AaB (Aalborg) are fighting to avoid the drop and will view a draw as a good result here. Expect Silkeborg to press for a win to ease their own relegation fears.
Best Bet: Silkeborg ML (+110) – On their home turf, Silkeborg’s quick passing game should undo Aalborg. A 2-1 win is the projection, and getting plus money on the home side is solid value.
Top Prop: Both Teams to Score (-130) – Neither defense is airtight. Aalborg’s Lukas Klitten and company can find a goal on a counter or set-piece, even if Silkeborg ultimately triumphs.
Lyngby BK vs Viborg FF (April 17) – Odds: Viborg +140, Lyngby +185 (Draw +230)
Viborg are chasing a European playoff spot and bring a disciplined 4-3-3 into Lyngby. Lyngby, scrapping in the relegation round, have been a pesky home side lately (unbeaten in 3 at Lyngby Stadion). Viborg’s offense runs through Justin Lonwijk, and he’ll be the best player on the pitch. Look for a cautious start transforming into a pressing finish as both need points for different reasons.
Best Bet: Draw (+230) – This has draw written all over it. Lyngby will set up not to lose; Viborg might lack the cutting edge to grab a win on the road. 1-1 is the likely score, splitting the points.
Top Prop: Under 2.5 Goals (-125) – Goals could be scarce with Lyngby likely keeping men behind the ball. Viborg rarely blow teams out, especially away. A tight affair benefits an under bet.

Copa Argentina – Round of 64 Highlights
Independiente Rivadavia vs Estudiantes de Buenos Aires (April 16) – In this cup clash, second-division sides meet. Independiente Rivadavia (from Mendoza) have been in good league form, while Estudiantes (BA) are a cup-savvy team known for grinding out results. In knockout football on neutral ground, expect a cagey contest.
Best Bet: Ind. Rivadavia to Qualify (-130) – Instead of the 90-minute line, back Rivadavia simply to advance. Their defense has been sturdier, and they may edge it in extra time if needed.
Top Prop: Match Drawn after 90’ (+210) – This could easily be 0-0 or 1-1 at full time, with the real drama in extra time or penalties. For a plus-money stab, a regulation draw is appealing.
Belgrano vs Real Pilar (April 17) – Primera División club Belgrano enters the Copa against fourth-tier Real Pilar. These mismatches in Copa Argentina can produce shocks, but Belgrano’s no-nonsense style (physical play, direct balls into the box) should wear down Pilar.
Best Bet: Belgrano -2.0 (-115) – We’re laying goals expecting Belgrano to win by at least 3 (perhaps 4-0). They’ll field some subs, but even those players are far above Pilar’s level.
Top Prop: Belgrano to Score in First 15 Minutes (+150) – If they start strong, the gulf in class could show immediately. An early goal could open the floodgates, and Belgrano will want to squash any upset hopes quickly.
Barracas Central vs Defensores de Belgrano (April 17) – An all-Buenos Aires clash: Barracas (first division) vs Defensores (Primera Nacional). Defensores de Belgrano have cup pedigree and a stingy defense. Barracas Central often play down to the level of their competition. This one could be tight and testy.
Best Bet: Defensores de Belgrano +1.0 (-120) – Barracas rarely blow teams out. Defensores can take this to penalties or lose by a single goal. Taking the full goal head start on the underdog is wise.
Top Prop: Under 2.5 Goals (-135) – We anticipate a 1-0 or 1-1 kind of game. Barracas might sneak it late, but goals will be at a premium with Defensores likely parking the bus.

Brazilian Série A – Midweek (April 16-17)
Botafogo vs São Paulo (April 16) – Odds: Botafogo +170, São Paulo +160 (Draw +220)
Two unbeaten teams meet. Botafogo’s home crowd will be in full voice at Nilton Santos. São Paulo, however, have veteran stars like Jonathan Calleri and Dani Alves (back for another stint) who won’t be rattled. Expect a tactical chess match early.
