MLB Best Bets for July 1,2022

As you all know, I’m the #1 MLB Expert on the app.  I’m up over 61 Units at MLB. I’m up nearly 8 units in the last week.  You don’t get to be the #1 expert playing heavy favorites.

Without further ado, here are my best bets for todays (July 1, 2022) MLB slate:

Pittsburgh Pirates +176

Are the Pirates a good team? Nope. However, take a look at this pitching match up. Corbin Burnes has posted a 6-4 record (60%) this season, recording a 2.41 ERA. Burnes has not faired well against the Pirates hitters. He’s been knocked around, giving up a .303 batting average, 2 Home Runs and 5 RBI’s. He’s 5-0 against the Pirates, and I see that changing here. Why? Roansy Contreras.  He’s 2-1 with a 2.76 ERA.  At +176, this should be closer to +125.

San Diego Padres +160

Is Blake Snell one of the worst acquisitions of the past few years? He can blame coaches all day long, but since leaving Tampa Bay, he’s been more like Blake "Smelly" Snell. The Padres have lost 7 of Snell’s 8 starts. However, Snell has been great against the Dodgers.  The Dodgers have hit only .239 against Snell. Further, Snell has struck out the Dodgers at a ridiculous 33% rate. The Padres will be missing some key pieces on offense, and Gonsolin is 9-0 this season, and probably the best pitcher in Baseball. I got this capped out closer to +140, which gives you great value at +160.

Parlay Pirates +1.5 & Padres +1.5

I wouldn't parlay both these teams moneyline's together, but I do love the Pirates +1.5 & Padres +1.5 parlayed together. That gives you decent value.
