Preview
The Dallas Cowboys will host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday at the AT&T Stadium to play their second game of the season. The last time these teams faced each other was in 2020 season in Cincinnati where the Cowboys dominated the Bengals and beat them 30-7 but Andy Dalton was the quarterback.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals didn't show much and struggled against the Steelers defense in Week 1 as they lost the game 20-23. In the defeat, Joe Burrow threw four interceptions and lost a fumble. He passed for 338 yards and two touchdowns. Joe Mixon made 27 carries for 82 yards but no touchdowns and Receiver Jamar Chase had 10 receptions for 129 yards and 1 touchdowns.
Defensively the Bengals allow 194 passing yards, 75 rushing yards, and 23 points. They were unable to force a turnover, and the turnover battle ultimately was decisive to lose the game.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys were awful in week 1 against the Bucaneers. They scored only 3 points in the whole game and the worst news is that their star quarteback Dak Prescott exit the game due to an injury. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stated after the game that Prescott will miss many weeks due to a fracture near the thumb on his throwing hand. Cedee Lamb drew the most attention with two catches for 29 yards. Prescott completed 14 of 29 for 134 yards with an interception that set up one of the first-half field goals, while Noah Brown had five catches for 68 yards.
Defensively, this team ranked #5 in the NFL allowing an average of 21.1 points per game last season and they looked pretty good actually but didn't get any help from the offense. Two sacks from reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year Micah Parsons kept the Cowboys in the game in the first half. Both forced field goals.
BETTING TRENDS
Cincinnati are 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games against Dallas.
Cincinnati are 1-5 SU in their last 6 games against Dallas.
Cincinnati are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games on the road.
Dallas are 12-6 SU in their last 18 games.
The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Dallas' last 6 games against Cincinnati.
Dallas are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games at home.
Prediction
The Cowboys wer absolutely dominated by the Bucs defense and they'll now have to play several weeks without their best player Dak Prescott due to injury so the rest of the offense will need to step up in his absence. They'll face a Bengals team that struggled a bit with in week 1 with 4 interceptions but will look to bounce back and should come to this game very agressive. Without Prescott the Cowboys will struggle to keep up with Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense. Take the Bengals.
PICK: Bengals -7 (-110)
