Portland Trail Blazers
All-Star point guard Damian Lillard is starting to figure things out this season. The former Weber State guard is averaging 21.8 ppg, which is his lowest since his rookie season, but he exploded for 39 points against Philly last week.
C.J. McCollum looks like hes on his way to averaging 20+ ppg for the seventh season in a row. McCollum, one of the league's most crafty scorers, is averaging 21.3 ppg.
Norman Powell and Robert Covington give the Blazers a solid pair of 3&D players. Powell averages 16.7 ppg, while Cov is shooting 41% from deep.
Jusuf Nurkic continues to man the middle in the Northwest, and he's averaging 10.8 ppg and 10.9 rpg.
De'Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, and Davion Mitchell form a talented Kings backcourt. Fox got off to a slow start, but he's back up to a team-leading 20.2 ppg. Haliburton is growing into one of the more well-rounded guards in the league, while Mitchell is enjoying a solid rookie season playing beside both young guards.
Harrison Barnes has really come into his own this season. The former UNC forward has already supplied heroics this season with a buzzer-beater win against the Suns, and he's averaging career-highs of 19.9 ppg, and 7.4 rpg.
Sharpshooter Buddy Heild continues to be a sniper from deep. The former OU guard is averaging 16.9 ppg, and he's hit three or more treys in seven of ten games this seaspn.
Richaun Holmes has emerged as a double-double threat in the middle. The seventh-year big had a monstrous 23/20 game against the Hornets, and he's averaging career-highs of 14.4 ppg, and 9.8 rpg.
Portland appeared to be figuring things out, but their road struggles are too much to ignore here. The Trail Blazers have lost nine of ten games as visitors this season, and the Kings need a win badly right now. Although they've endured a mid-season coaching change, the talent is still there. Their worth a shot tonight.
