The Toronto Blue Jays and the Tampa Bay Rays will play the second of their three-game set this evening. Toronto took a big four-run lead in the fourth inning and didn't look back last night.

The Rays have played their way safely into the playoffs, but their recent stretch of play have them fading in the league's best record race. Their on the eighth of a nine-game road stint, and the Rays may just need to get back to Tampa to regain some steam. They have their work cut out for them tonight on the road against the hottest team in baseball.

The Blue Jays have really made things really interesting over the past three weeks. Toronto's dominate month of September has them right in the heart of the AL Wild Card picture. They've won twelve of their last thirteen and they're playing with tremendous confidence on the plate and the mound. This stretch of play has been inspiring and it could continue tonight at home.

Pitching matchup

Drew Rasmussen (2-1, 3.25) takes the mound for Tampa. He joined the rotation the last month and has yielded solid results. Although he hasn't gone longer than five innings, through five starts he hasn't allowed more than one run. He earned his second win in his outing in Fenway, but he did allow a season-high six hits.

Blue Jays

Jose Berrios (11-7, 3.52 ERA) will toss for Toronto. He's settled in since coming over from Minnesota at the deadline, and his last three outings have been electric. Berrios threw seven shutout innings and eleven strikeouts against Detroit, and he threw eight strikeouts over seven innings in New York. In his last home start, he struck out seven in seven against Oakland.

We find ourselves in another encouraging position to trust the momentum of the Toronto Blue Jays tonight. Along with the momentum, they enter with the advantage on the mound and behind the plate. They will come down at some point, but it might not happen this evening. We're going to continue to ride this inspiring playoff push with them and trust them to cover. Take the Jays run line tonight.

PICK: Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (+140)
