The Indiana Pacers will travel and take on a rested Utah Jazz team this evening fro Vivint Arena.

Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers have struggled out of the gate, and they blew a managable game last night facing Denver without reigning MVP Nikola Jokic. Things likely won't get easier tonight, but they'll try to wrap up this west coast trip on a strong note.

Malcolm Brogdon continues to improve on a year-to year basis. He's leading the Pacers in points (22.7) and assists (6.7), while grabbing 6.6 rpg.

The return of Caris LeVert has helped, but he missed last night's gimme game, and he may just miss this bout too.

Domantis Sabonis is having another fantastic year up front for Indiana. The former Gonzaga big is scoring 19.3 ppg and leading the team with 11.6 rpg. He's a reliable double-double threat, and he's bound to secure his first triple-double of the season soon.

Chris Duarte has cooled off after a fast start. The first-year guard from Oregon is scoring 15.2 ppg, which is second among all rookies.

Utah Jazz

The Jazz responded to a pair of road losses with a good win over the Atlanta Hawks. Another big game from Donovan Mitchell led the charge, and the Jazz will look to build on that this evening.

Spida's off to another fast start, and the fifth-year guard is on pace to lead the Jazz in scoring again as he's up to 25.9 ppg.

Rudy Gobert's presence is unmatched league-wide. The Stifle Tower commands attention defensive, and doesn't take away from the offense at all. Outside of a rough performance in Miami, Gobert has been a menace on the boards, and he leads the league with 15.9 rpg.

Reigning Sixth Man of the Year Jordan Clarkson has endured a few shooting woes, but the walking microwave is a threat to heat up at a moment.

Joe Ingles and Bojan Bogdanovic continue to thrive in the Utah system, and represent two of the best role players and snipers in the league.

Prediction

Logically if the Pacers struggled with a severely undermanned Nuggets team in the Mile High, they are likely going to struggled with a rested Utah Jazz team. Now the Pacers have the pieces to keep up with the Jazz for a bit, but the inconsistencies on the defensive end are going to cost Rick Carlisle's squad here. We like the Jazz covering here.
