Preview

The New Orleans Saints will host the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night at the Caesars Superdome. These teams haven't faced each other since 2018 season where the Saints beat the Ravens 24-23 in Baltimore as +2.5 underdogs.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens get here with a 5-3 record and are 3-1 on the road so far this season ranking 1st in the AFC North. Last week the Ravens beat the Bucs 27-22 on the road. Lamar Jackson threw for 238 yards and a pair of second-half touchdowns. The Ravens (5-3) ran for all but 27 of its 231 yards rushing in the second half, while Jackson finished 27 of 38 passes without an interception, including TD throws of 5 yards to Kenyon Drake and 10 yards to Isaiah Likely in the third quarter. They averaged 7 yards per carry and topped 150 yards rushing for the seventh straight game, the longest active streak in the NFL.

Defensively, they have been great against the run allowing 97.5 rushing yards but have struggled against the pass allowing 285.6 yards. They have allowed no more than 24 pts per game in their last 5 games.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints get here with a 3-5 record after beating the Raiders 24-0 at home last week. Dalton was 22 of 30 for 229 yards and two TDs. His top receiver was Kamara, who had nine receptions for 96 yards to go with his 62 yards rushing.

The Saints defense had four sacks in all, two by second-year defensive end Payton Turner, who was playing for the first time in four weeks after recovering from a chest injury. Tackle David Onyemata had another, while end Cameron Jordan and tackle Kentavius Street shared one.

Prediction

The Ravens have been playing good lately as they have won 3 of their last 5 games but they're dealing with a lot of injuries right now. The Saints were struggling defensively until last week where they held the Raiders to zero points in the game. New Orleans is also dealing with some key injuries like Michael Thomas, Ingram II and Marshon Lattimore. I expect a lot running from both teams on this game so it should be a very close game and the best play is the under.

PICK: Under 47 (-110)
